KIBA TOKYO RESIDENCE: 概要

CONCEPT

東京都心部商業地域内、幹線道路に面した狭小地における小規模集合住宅の建て替え計画です。

都会の多様な生活様式への対応と建物付加価値向上のために、従来型の画一的住戸プランを見直して、建築基準法のメゾネット型住戸の特例等を適用することで多様な空間を創出しました。歴史ある深川木場の立地からは、場所性・地域性を意識した意匠を心掛けています。

ここでは、外部空間で失われた木場の原風景の再生を、内部空間で都心部の小規模集合住宅の在り方を表現して、この場所にふさわしく、また人々の記憶を呼び覚まし、そして人々の記憶に残るような建築を創造したつもりです。

The project is to rebuild a residential building at a small site in *KIBA Tokyo, Japan.

For adaptation of the various lifestyles and improving the added value of the building, we designed multiple spaces by using exceptional cases of maisonnette style housing to the building standard law. At the same time, we attempted to put the building in harmony with the historical and specific site of KIBA which was known for lumber dealings.

KIBA Tokyo Residence would make new values and new lifestyles through the inside (interior space), and to show historic and cultural heritage through the outside (exterior space). This architectural concept would become a model of global architecture.

*KIBA: The name of a place. "KI" means wood, and "BA" means town.
